    Donations & climb update

As of June 1st I have raised $1,815 towards my $2,500 goal.

This weekend I went on a long hike with Buster as my side kick.  We did some local hikes through woods and a long the river; Buster spent most of the time in the River.  It was a good hike, but reminded me that although I am in good shape, I still have to get use to hiking for long periods of time.  If 3 hours seems long, I wonder what 50 hours will be like.

I am now up to $2,100 of my $2,500 goal.  I paid the difference and am able to do the climb.  I want to thank everyone who donated towards the cause - I appreciate everyone of you.
As for the climb, I've booked the flight the hotel and the gear.  But, my training has been less than strong lately.  I'm doing good, but not great.  The summer and Troy are making it very hard for me to dedicate the needed 15 hours of exercise each week.  I've been doing about 9 to 10 hours per week and feel in good shape, but am finding myself unmotivated on great days or at times where I want to play with Troy.  That being said, I'm going to pick it up big time over the next four weeks and nail this summit!
